I have a HP DV9500t cto, with a 8600M GS Video card. I am getting temps on my GPU like 76-78 while playing tiger woods pga tour 08 /with a cooling pad , is that normal for this card ? And does anyone know the highest safe temp this card can handle? :)

That is perfectly fine. As long as you don't go over 100C you should be fine. The GPU can stand higher temps compared to the CPU.
