    Grace period to buy HP Care Package?

    How long after you purchase an HP laptop (nc8430 business class in my case) can you still purchase a care package? I didn't purchase one with my laptop and I'm thinking I should since I'm going to rely on it quite a bit. I ordered it last week from newegg and it should get here tomorrow.

    They usually allow people to buy extended warranties on consumer models up until 1yr or until the standard warranty expires. It should be similar for the business systems as well.

    I purchased my Care Pack almost 90 days after the purchase, so you're fine until then at least. However, I'd personally get the pack and get it over with...I almost forgot to purchase mine and I probably would have lost out on that opportunity had I waited a few more days.

    You have till the regular warrenty wears out which is usually 1 year
