So I'm having this issue with my intel graphics. For some reason when I sometimes move my lid I get random glitches like the screen will turn off and on and I get artifacts like streaks of random color blocks. I've restored a few times. Happens when I do a clean install and an install from HP's recovery disks. I think it only happens with the intel graphics because that's what I use 90% of the time. Is it a loose connection or bad graphics chip?

The Intel GPU is in the same chip as the CPU.

Try running with the ATI for a while to make sure it's the Intel....

Yea I just started doing that but it's causing the computer to run a bit hot. Averaging 65C while I stream video. My ambient temp is warm though 83F so that might be why.

It's a really annoying problem because its not one that is consistently reproducible. So if I send it to HP they're probably gonna hold onto it for a while then just say they can't reproduce it.
