    Hello Everyone ..

My notebook contains Mobile Intel 945GM/GU Express chipset family with up to 256MB shared .. I am aksing if this will help me in operating simulation and modelling applications ?? if so how well then these applications will be working fine ?? ..

    Thanks for any help.

what programs will u be using? and did u check the requirements of these programs? if u are talking about real time graphic simulations then no it will not.

its not going to help you with any modelling or simulations.

it MIGHT not hurt you, depending on whether or not the programs are rendering things.

if you are just running numbers and calculating a simulation, it won't be involved.

but if you are trying to model a simulation in 3d, the integrated graphics chip is most likely going to prevent you from doing that (with any hint of quickness). if the simulation doesn't require real time or close to real time, it shouldn't matter.

    Thank you Sideswipe & masterchef341 ...

As a beginner (just started my course this week) I'll be using MATLAB ... I don't know what's the real time graphic simulation is but i can tell you that I'll be working lately on simulations of non-linear systems for Physics & Astronomy stuffs ... will i be needing a real time graphic softwares ? ..

waiting for your reply for I'll buy or not a desktop computer for this purpose if it didn't work on my notebook ... Thanks in advance. :)
