I'm finding myself compelled to purchase the Verve dv2550se from Best Buy. But I was also looking at the dv6500t as an alternative.

Basically what it's coming down to for me is how much of a difference would it be getting the Verve minus dedicated graphics compared to the dv6500t with dedicated? (In terms of battery life, performance, etc.)

I don't do any gaming but I might jump on SC2 once that comes out. Will just a Core 2 Duo T5250 with X3100 cut it? Thanks.

Well, as of right now we don't know the specs of StarCraft 2. However, from the footage of the game, it looks more demanding then its predesessor. You will likely need somewhat of a capable graphics card. I would think the x3100 will be sufficient with updated drivers. Yet, don't expect high definition graphics support with this card. The game will probably be playable, but at low resolutions and little to no options selected.

Thanks. Sorry for the tough question. You're right that the Verve and probably even the dv6500t aren't adequate gaming computers. Thanks for taking the time to answer though. I appreciate it.
