    Green screen on projector Envy 15 1st Gen

    So i have 1st Gen Envy 15. I have the HP HDMI to VGA adapter, but the image i receive on the projector is green.

    Ive tested the vga cable on another laptop and it gets a full color display on the projector. I've tested the HDMI to VGA adapter on another PC as well and its fine and the projector works fine as well, but the combination of HP Envy, adapter and projector gives me a green screen. The Envy's screen displays fine.

    any idea's?

    Projector is Dell 2300MP

    ok seems to work if i plug the projector to another VGA source then play back to the Envy hdmi to vga port.

    Im guessing some image setting negotiation is not correctly handled by the Envy or Envy adapter?
