Brianstretch - I looked inside my computer to find out that the HD is FUJITSU MHT2080AH PL...this is the 80gb 5400 that came with the notebook. Would you know how I can do a diagostic test? Is it common for this occasional clicking noise?

Any suggestions from anyone about the card reading problem? Carl - Did you notify hp? I think I'm going to try to contact them today. Will let you know if I resolve this.

I'm not very familiar with Fujitsu drives. The occassional clicking could be normal on that model.
