Hey guys. I am having a large problem getting the comptuer to play back hd properly. I tried to play a file today, and it occasionally paused during playback. However, this exact same file played back perfectly fine last week.

I have even installed coreavc and the problem still remains. Using vlc player, the video starts, then pauses, the goes on. But it was not like this last week. It played back the video perfectly fine. And its only a 720p video.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening? I am puzzled.

The power settings might be set to maximum which would throttle down the cpu's power and GHz. It happened to me when i tried out maximum battery savings. I ended up just customizing my own power savings mode and letting the cpu only throttle down to 70% as opposed to 50% and it stopped the stuttering/skipping playback of HD 720p video for me.

Strange. I upgraded to 177.98 from 177.92, and also changed the power options to max performance, even though I am plugged in. It is working perfectly fine now.
