Why are there 4 different hdd's in the "my computer" section of the Envy 14 when it first comes? screenshot: imgur: the simple image sharer

I would rather have just C: be the only hdd. How would I go about doing this?

ps. I am making recovery disc with hp recovery manager right now

The MS Office Click to Run is MS Office 2010. If you purchased Office with your computer...that is your install file. If not...my choice would be to delete it.

HP Tools partition contains just that...tools for techs to use if you have issues with your machine. Runs hard drive and memory diagnostics, etc. Leave that one alone

Recovery partition. Contains the "Out of Box" configuration of your machine. When you create "Recovery" disks...this is the partition that contains all the info for those disks. You can also do a system recovery off that partition by hitting F11 on bootup...Restores the machine to the exact condition it was in the moment you turned it on for the first time, drivers, extra software and all.

If you have made the recovery disk set already...you can delete the partition, but by the looks of things...you have plenty of HDD space...I would leave intact. That choice is yours

Or do what I did, remove the drive letters for the partitions but leave the filesystem intact in case you ever need access to it.
