I have an HP dm3 2000 and I am running a dual partition with Windows 7 on one partition and Ubuntu 10.04 on the other. HDMI works fine on the W7 side but nothing happens on the Ubuntu side. I checked sound properties and the HDMI is selected and looks like all is in order. I want to migrate to Ubuntu completely but cannot until this is solved.

I am using HDMI out with no problem. My monitor setup was done with regular VGA out, then changed over to HDMI. I have an NVIDIA video card, and am using the propriatary drivers.

    Hope this helps
