    Hi,
Just got my DV2700T laptop from HP. I was trying to connect my laptop to my Sony HDTV. Both audio and Video are ok. But When I tried to connect to my TV using my ONKYO-SR605 receiver (which has HDMI Pass through), there is no sound coming from the home theatre speakers. I have selected the SPDIF audio option. But No luck. My receiver is sending the Video to the TV, But no audio. When my laptop is directly connected to Sony HDTV everything working fine. Could you please tell me what should I do?
My Laptop has the Blueray player in it. So If I want to play any blueray disc using the Laptop through my receiver, what needs to be done?

I know when i connect my laptop to my HDTV thru HDMI - i have to go and change my sound card out from the speakers to digital output or something to make the audio come on the TV. I know its different situation, but try it if you havent. Thats the best i can help, sorry.

    What resolution is your TV?

I have the Onkyo TX-SR604 receiver and I connect my dv6500t via HDMI through the receiver to my LCD TV.

Sound only gets output when the resolution is 480p, 640p (yeah I know), native resolution of 1366x768 (I have to go into custom resolutions and set it), and 1920x1080.

Go into the nvidia drivers and try setting a custom resolution and see if that works.
