The High Def stuff on this laptop is awesome. The only question I have is that I see a jittery line across the screen of by 37" LCD HDTV when I run the HDMI out of my laptop to the TV. It looks like a tracking problem on an old VCR. It is only on the High Def videos I am running. I tried turning off other processes to help out but it didn't work. T7300 processor, 2GB ram, Nvidia 8400, etc. I got the best of everything and I can't get rid of this tracking-like line. Any ideas?

More than likely it has to do with pixel mapping, cropping etc. When you are sending the digital video signal out from your video card to the tv, the resolution that you send it at should be matched up perfect to your tv's native display resolution. Say your tv is 1366x768, alot of video cards dont have this option and will tell you to run 1360x768. Since this is not the native resolution of your tv panel, you will be cropped 6 pixels (which is really tiny). usually this shows up as a black lines since your vid card is not sending any signal on these 6 pixels though. Just something to consider. I bet it has to do with resolution matching.

My question is, does the hdmi out of the 8400m gs carry dolby digital 5.1 along with it? I would really like my 5.1 receivers blue light to kick on (multichannel decoding light)
