My HP HDX 16 is connected via HDMI cable to my receiver. It output's video to my HDTV but audio comes out of my laptop. I want the audio to come out of my home theatre system. Any thoughts?

Install the HDMI audio driver included with the HP supplied NVidia display drivers. Other display drivers (such as those found on laptopvideo2go) don't usualy have the HDMI driver included. Then just make it your default sound device when your connected. Make sure that your display is HDCP complient aswell or you won't get any audio.

What he said.......but also try plugging and unplugging the HDMI cable from your notebook. I wasn't getting any audio at first either, but this worked for me. Good luck

Thanks a lot, I can hear audio coming out of my speakers now. Just one question though. When I try listen to music on itunes, it only comes out of my laptop speakers. When I look at playback devices, it says Nvidia HDMI is enabled and working. I can listen to videos on the net like on youtube but I can't play my ripped music on Itunes. I used apple's lossless encoder if that helps.
