    Hi:

I have the HP 6500t with the nVidia 8400m gs which includes the HDMI port in the back. I would like to connect the laptop to my TV so that I can watch movies...etc on a bigger screen. The problem is that the back of my TV only has DVI and the 6 different-colored component cables.

Is there a way to connect from my hdmi output to the dvi input for my TV?
Also, is the audio included with this cable or do I need another audio cable?

    Thanks!

Audio is usually included with HDMI but won't work with the DVI so....

You need a HDMI->DVI (and be sure to take the good kind of DVI because there is like 4 kinds: DVI-I male/female, DVI-D male/female) and that won't transmit sound. I believe they also do cables that start with HDMI and end with DVI

If your plan is to watch blu-ray/HD-DVD forget it, DVI isn't HDCP compatible AFAIK
