    hi, i will be receiving my hdx 16 in a few days. it comes with vista home premium and i would like to replace it with vista ultimate that i got for my birthday.

    i would like to get some advice on what i plan to do:-

    1) run Recovery Manager and create recovery dics as soon as i get the laptop.

    2) insert vista ultimate dvd and repartition hdd (320gb) to (c:\ 100gb, d:\ 220gb) and install vista ultimate.

    =============

    when i perform the above 2 steps, will i be able to revert/restore back to the factory state in future since i will be changing/deleting the hdd's original partition using the recovery discs i made in step 1.

    or should i be using another backup/hdd cloning application in step 1?

    thank you for your comments.
