    Hey All,

I was looking at HDX16t and was pretty much impressed by it...but was confused abt some things...BYB i do a lot of memory intense job work & play games ,

We have an option to upgrade to P8400 (3MB L2 & 1066Mhz) ($200 extra)...is it worth ??? am asking this bcoz from lil research what I found is the systems RAM clock is 800Mhz ---- the CPU will down itself to match the RAM speed...

also I was unable to get a good answer if T6600 & NVidia 9600 is a good combination....i mean will there be any issues as per the RAM where one device performance will downgrade it to match the other

No, it wont. The cpu will run at 2.26GHz with 1066MHz FSB(266Mhz QDR) while your RAM will run at DDR2 800(400Mhz). The RAM usually downclocks only if the system isnt capable of running the memory at its max speed

It should run fine. As far as whether its worth it, for $200 more I dont think the price/performance ratio favors the P8400.
