I am considering the P8700 2.53, T9550 2.66, and the T9800 2.93. I know the T series requires more power to run thus causing more heat to be generated. but for anyone who has any of these processors, does the computer actually get hot to the point where it affects the computer or your hands?

I play crysis warhead on mine and that is the only time it gets really hot, like makes my palm sweet. It gets hot on the left palm rest. Other than that, it can get warm especially on the bottom, but not too bad. If you really don't like any heat, than you should consider the P8700 since it uses 25ws as apposed to 35ws.

The T series actually idle cooler because of the larger thermal interface needed to cover the extra cache. At load the T series is hotter however undervolting will reduce the amount of heat.

I switched my 2.13Ghz P7450 for a 2.80Ghz T9600. Because the hot air from cooling the cpu cools my gpu, the gpu does get a few degrees hotter, however the cooling system of each laptop will vary.

I do not believe one will feel the difference themselves in a properly designed laptop.
