I was wondering if anyone who has an HDX 16t-1200 could tell me what their system board ID is. You can find this out by going into your system BIOS on the main info page on the front it lists your system board id.

    Thanks ahead of time.

Don't really get what you mean? Do you want to know your motherboard manufacturer and what motherboard you have? If you want to do that get PC wizard 2009.. it tells you all that and way more..

Ok, here is my root problem. Ever since I have had my HDX16t-1100 I have had problems with the STacSV.exe process occasionally hogging 50% of one of my cores. In addition, the audio acts pretty crazy and inconsistent on performance.

So i am in hope that a slight different motherboard might fix my problems.

By looking at a like this file it outlines system descriptions and their associated system id
    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45501-46000/sp45889.cva

So like i said in my first post if you go into your BIOS on the information page it tells you your system board id.
Which at least on my system it is: 361B

So i am just trying to find out if 361E is the HDX 16t-1200 system board.

Did you already try a clean install and try reinstalling the audio drivers? I had this problem 1 or 2 times but for me i just restarted the process and the CPU usage dropped.. i think its a driver problem, changing motherboard won't help..

I have done so many clean installs. The problems happens in Vista and Win 7. I have gone to the Services in the management console is tried restarting the service plenty of time but the problem still comes back. So that isn't really a solution.

I have tried so many different driver version it is not even funny. I have even tried the driver directly from Microsoft Update Catalog and still no dice in a good working driver without problems.

What version of the IDT audio driver are you using?

Right now I am using version 6.10.6242.0 of the IDT audio driver. No matter what driver I have used in the past I had always had the same problems. Although some drivers have been a little better than others.

Well you can choose not to install IDT.. just use the onboard windows audio codec..

I have already been there and it is still a crappy driver. A little better, but still crappy. I think one chance is that a little bit different motherboard could fix the problem because it might have a slightly different audio card.

So can anyone tell me the system board ID for the HDX 16t-1200?
