I just went to the HP site, and noticed the dragon only has the 256 video card option???? Anyone know what happed to the 512 video card? Are they about to give it a new card? Or, did they just run out of the 512 cards?

I did see this beast in person, in a local store. IT IS EVEN BIGGER IN PERSON.
ME WANT ONE!!!!!!!! bUT NOT WITH A 256 CARD.

I believe the 512 was 256 shared. HP just redid their descriptions of GPUs to avoid deceiving customers, and thus they only list dedicated memory now.

Wow, thats really to bad. I was thinking about getting it with the ATI 512 card, but if its only has 256 forget it (deal buster). Even though I don't game a lot it would've been nice to have the extra juice in case I wanted to play something really good (Read Crysis here).

Lol, sound's like you don't have it down just yet.

Read: The amount of RAM doesn't really matter. The 256 card will play Crysis just as well as a 512 card.

I'm under the impression that in order to get the best performance for games, rendering etc., a 512MB video card was the must have. From what I've been reading on these forums, everyones seems to insist on 512 video cards, whether it be the 7950GTX, or 8700 GT card, not to mention SLI. And it seems everyone can't wait for the 80M (8800 mobile). This doesn't even take into account the nvida is better than ATI cards rants. Its all so madding! I just don't want to buy something and it can't play a game or do something, I want it to do. And, yes I know tech constantly marches forward.

With all that said, it is quite a beautiful pc.
