Just a quick note to prospective HDX buyers. This is regarding their Vista 64bit configuration.

You can only use Quickplay to play back HD DVD's and there are a few drawbacks for that.

HP's Quickplay isn't the best or most stable of applications, so far it has errored out more than a few times.

If you fast forward an HD DVD it will continue to fast forward, you can't stop it, you can rewind but that just continues as well. Maybe it's me not using it correctly but I doubt it, reading all the documentation now to see if I missed something.

DVD's meant to be HD and not converted to HD look fantastic, Blue Planet HD is unreal. When output to my 50 inch Plasma the picture is fantastic!

I would love to use something other than Quickplay so if others have found something please chime in. I'm going to continue looking and will post when I find something.

Oh last, I have used this thing on my lap for the past 3 hours, my lap is now numb and my wife is laughing, so at least she gets entertained. I need some aleeve now, damn my knees hurt. :D
