Can anyone tell me how to find the exact model number for my HDX Sticker on bottom just says HDX9300, when I let HP "discover" my model it finds a HDX9000T CTO (whatever that means) I see all you people discussing different models of this unit. Could some one explain to me please. I see tons of different HDX models on the HP site, help... which one do I have?
    Thanks, David

When you see CTO, that means you custom built your laptop (go on HP's website and picked everything out you wanted in your laptop). Therefore that is your model number. When you see people with different HDX model numbers, that means that their laptop was prebuilt and they weren't able to choose what features and components were included in the laptop.

Thank You Envision, that was the answer I was looking for that the dummy in support never gave me after 45 minutes. Thanks, David
