I am thinking about getting a HDX. However I was wondering about updates to the GPU. I see the latest driver on HP's site is from January and nVidia only shows a driver for the 8700M. Are there newer drivers for it?

Yes...best bet is to check laptopvideo2go.com...they have all the latest drivers and even HP specific INF files to place in driver packages. HP also has updated drivers for the 8800m, just not latest nVidia drivers.

My bust...BIOS update is relatively new...if you get the HDX, it will have the latest HP driver, but I always use 3rd party driver, usually laptopvideo2go

HP doesn't do a good job at keeping the drivers on their website up to date. The best way to have the latest and greatest drivers is by finding them yourself. With the GPU, the best place to get the newest drivers is laptopvideo2go as hovercraftdriver stated.

As for all the other drivers on your machine, you can go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers.
