either that, or theyll never make another HDX again.

I honestly don't think HDX will be returning. I'm sure they would've introduced it with the new DV4, 5, and 7 series. Unless, they are transforming it somehow.

Rumor has it that the HDX will become a line of computers much like DELL's XPS. There is an HDX 900 desktop available in China right now. The specs have been on HP's site for about a month now.

I doubt there will be a Montevina update to the HDX. HP's dropped prices far too dramatically and has given away quite a few of them which suggests that there's a fair bit of loss padding going on. They're selling more HDX's at current prices than they ever did. But when you price a system originally @ >$3000 (which lasted for 9 months) and you now sell it for <$2000 what profit margin is left?

But there will probably be 15/16" 17/18.4" HDX notebooks coming down the pipeline.

18.4" is in vogue right now as it is 16:9 aspect ratio as opposed to 20.1" 16:10.

The Australian site is being upgraded at the moment for the launch of the new Pavillion models. The HDX has run out of stock and is discontinued at least for the AU/NZ markets. The TouchSmart 2 kinda replaces it until a newer model is released, which won't be anytime soon.

HP's Australian online store is very poorly maintained, so don't bother really. I doubt they make much sales from their online store. It's outsourced anyway.
