    HDX good enough for modern games and CAD?

    would the HDX be powerful enough for these two things, just wondering :D

    With the 8800GTS, yes its very capable for most things. It is not the best available though. I wish they put 8800GTX SLi in there to get the dragon going.

    What games and programs were you planning to run?

    just some design progs and games prolly like crysis, bioshock n those lot

    Yeah it will play those games, but dont expect high settings on Crysis. It should be playable at medium settings.

    Crysis is like the most graphic intensive game thats out. Even desktop gpu's struggle running it on high settings

    Yeah, I have a Intel Quad Core overclocked to 3.0Ghz, with 4GB of 1Ghz RAM, and an 8800GTX in my desktop and that can't even run it at high settings. I have been reading though about their new game coming out called Crysis Warhead, which is a side story to the Crysis Trilogy. You will play as Psycho (the storyline of this game is linear to the first Crysis) and they have already announced that they have been able to lower how demanding the game is on computer hardware.
