So I have a hdx16 that was designed by me on their website. It has a blu-ray drive in it. Shortly after getting the pc the blu-ray drive stopped working and i was able to do a system recovery and the blu-ray drive started to work again and so there after it stopped but i continued to use it. Yesterday i received my copy of Windows 7 from Microsoft and said to myself i need to install this so i decided to run a system recovery again so that it might work again. Unfortunately the recovery begins to loop near the end and the software is being installed screen keeps looping and restarting the machine. I decided to give it time and left it on overnight with no luck. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the recovery partition to work. I was running vista home premium and have no recovery disks.

Go to Disk Management and make the Recovery Partition Active if at all you can access Windows. If not then try booting from the drive using the Windows 7 media. Otherwise you have to call HP for help.
