I have a first gen HDX16T that has an intel 5100agn in it.

I wanted to know if there is anyone that can give me some advice or first hand experience on wether upgrading to the Intel 6200 card would give me better range and performance?

Also, just to be sure, i CAN upgrade to this one right? Its a two antennae card. The bios shouldnt have any issue with it, no?

Not sure about the HDX16T but my 6200 in my Evny 17 doesnt work too well with my router.

Others have reported similar issues with the 6200.

Get the 6300 if your laptop BIOS didnt blacklist the cards.

My envy 14s wireless works perfect at my house but at the university it is all messed up. Sometimes it will have full strength but won't connect and then randomly 30 mins later it will connect. Other times it just boots me off for no reason. This happens almost daily and especially in 1 room in particular even though the signal strength is full.
