    I'm thinking to upgrade cpu.

I looked inside and chip isn't soldiered.

    am I good to go?

And is 100$ good price for qualification sample cpu P9500 6M Cache 2.53?

I currently do not see a problem with upgrading. However, make sure that both CPUs have the same socket to ensure compatibility (socket PGA478 I think) and that your notebook BIOS is flashed to the latest version.

Also, I do NOT recommend that you purchase a Qualification or Engineering Sample (ES) processor. They are not intended for sale / resale.
