Ok until recently I have liked HP. A couple events have happened in the last month or two which have made me contemplate returning my 2nd laptop. I understand they are #1 in laptop sales so they will probably be #1 in problems as well. However I was just hoping people could quick reply with if yes/no they had problems with there hdx16t when it arrived. Mine had a scratch on the outside of the case (2 of them each about an inch long) which could have happened in shipping, but also a big like 2-3 millimeter chunk missing from the 0 key which I believe couldnt have. Also a friend got his as well and his S key was broken upon arrival, just trying to figure out of HP rushed shipment on these, and talk to them about some kind of extended warranty. Thank you.
SO PLEASE POST IF YOU RECEIVED A PHYSICAL OR INTERNAL DEFECT IN YOUR HDX16T STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. THANK YOU

i have a friend who got one, and sent it back and right away... idk what the problem was.. i jsut know it happened... i dont really talk to him much though.. he is mroe of an acquaintance...
hope that helped soem how... -
It's between the [bright^]/[play/pause]. All the other have no flex whatsoever. I had this guy on here with a similar issue and it ended up being that, there was a loose screw under that area, underneath the keyboard. Those 2 keys are a tad higher.
The DV7 has a similar panel at the TOP and I pushed down on it at my local store and no FLEX at all, SO I wanna make sure nothing is loose underneath.
No horror stories yet,, but I have not put this laptop through the paces...Still analyzing the build Quality. -
Mine arrived in excellent condition.
