Has anybody noticed any kind of rattling sound coming from near the bluray drive would be? When I play music, it's not actually a rattling, but that's the closest description I can come up with that is obviously coming somewhere inside the laptop near the ROM bay. When I place my ear around there with the door open, the sound is definitely allot more noticeable.

Check Vista to see if the speakers are set for full range. Laptop speakers should not be set for full range and some of those low frequencies might be causing unwanted vibration, if that is what is actually happening.

I have the bass media controls set to 0 and the equalizer is set to the default setting which has the bass frequencies at normal.

I deleted the included audio driver (IDT) and installed realtek HD. You lose the bass/treble controls, but since I adjust the equalizer for music, that's not a loss for me. It's been a while since I've heard it, but I believe that was the culprit for the clicking noise. Keep in mind this laptop has a mini sub underneath, and has a bit of a muffled bumping pop sound to it (it even vibrates the chassis)
