Was wondering what video drivers are working for other owners of the HDX16t.

I'm currently using the 179.04 driver from HP and have managed to overlcock it (see specs in sig below) by using RivaTuner 2.22 and following the advice in this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=328025

This yielded 5581 3DMarks and raised my WEI Gaphics score to 5.9 and Gaming Graphics to 5.5.

However, my experience with trying later drivers has not been stable.

What driver is working for you?

Loaded up 179.28 last night and so far so good.

Bumped my 3DMarks to 5583 leaving resolution at 1920x1080.

Is it possible to overclock without running Rivatuner's Alternate Startup Daemon?

Kind of annoying having UAC interupt the boot process to allow it to run.

No mistake. I think 3DMark runs the test at something lower. I smiply did not reduce my res manually before running the test.

EDIT: PS: just ran it again and got 5590 - with res left at 1920x1080 - 3DMark says the test was run at 1280x1024

Pretty cool how we have the same specs :D It's a great laptop. What temps do you get? My GPU peaks at about 60-62 on a zalman nc2000. I think the CPU is in the 40's? It's quite comfortable even playing some hardcore CoD for a few hours.

Ya. I copied your OC specs too!

At low demand it seems to run in the mid 50's. Have not used zalman but have not seen it exceed low 60's under load.

U using Rivatuner's alternate start up daemon?

Hah! I have one more than you now!

Start up daemon is part of Rivatuner. I thought it was necessary to run it at startup in order to set OC values. Have not messed with it much, but Rivatuner has it enabled (Use alternate start up daemon) and grayed out so that I cannot disable it. Need to mess with power user settings I guess to open it up.
