I just noticed on HP's website that the HDX16t is on sale now for $1049.99 with free upgrades to 3GB Ram and Blu-ray player as free upgrades. Does anybody know if there are coupons that can be used with this besides the 20% Cash back from live.com? Hm... still, 20% off would make that a $850 laptop. Not too bad....

IF they offered a 4G option I'd probably jump on the 16t. But as it is neither this model nor the 18t have the 4G option for Memory.

Plus they haven't released the Quad processor option for the 16t and I doubt they will. So while neither model has the 4G option if HP adds it back along with the Quad processor for the 18t I'll go ahead and get that.

CassilineKnight, I think you're holding back more than just because of that. It's very simple to upgrade to 4GB of ram yourself, and it would be cheaper too. You need to stop using that as your excuse.

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it.

To me it's a fair reason. I don't have experience with tinkering with hardware on the computer side and I honestly just don't feel like starting right now. Especially with my first major laptop.

I'll stop posting since it's obvious that some people are finding my posts annoying or repetitive.

All I know is i'm definitely returning my HDX16t now that I got before... I don't want the TV Tuner in it, plus I'll get the free upgrade to 3GB RAM for a better price than I paid before. Or maybe I'll just buy a Sager/Clevo instead... :)

A 2 GB stick of RAM can be had for less than $30, the installation takes at most 15 minutes, and can be done in a minute by someone who's experienced. Any computer repair shop will be glad to do a RAM install for under $40, so call it $70 to upgrade to 4 GB of RAM, which, most likely, is less than what HP would charge anyways for the same thing.

As far as the processor goes: currently, no laptop under 17 inches has an option for a Quadcore.
