Hey, I want to upgrage my RAM to 8GB, stock 4GB but 2 just went out so I'm on 2GB now and it's really slowing things down.
Here's what I bought: CM3X8GSDKIT1066
Laptop will not boot, I power it on and balckscreen, sometimes CAPS and NUM LEDs are on sometimes are off. Tried both sticks in each slot, all combinations with and without HDD installed. Reset CMOS, drained power by holding PW button no luck.
Physical Memory Array -----------------------------------------------------
Array Location: System board
Array Use: System memory
Error Detecting Method: None
Memory Capacity: 8388608 KBytes

Thanks in advance, any help apreciated!

Bump!
If I cant boot up the system sending the sticks back tomorrow, but I rather not, anyone got any idea why my HDX wont take these RAM? -
Thank you myself!
In any case, if someone else needs it:

Will this work? My laptop says the memory is DDR2 PC2-6400, 800MHz.
It's an HP HDX18-1000 CTO. -
All I can say to you is, buy somewhere where you can try them first.
Good luck! -
I bought Crucial 8GB memory and installed it just the other day. Glad to breath some extra life into this laptop!
