Im thinking on buying a new HDX18t with a quad core extreme processor. Is it possible to configure these units with XP? HP seems to offer only native Vista Drivers though I thinki as long as all hardware is probably identified it can be possible to find all the necessary drivers for XP.

    Thanks for the feedback :)

I had a XP x64 running for a bit. I had to use NLite to create a boot up disk with the SATA drivers so it would load.

It was last November when I was last tinkering with this but I did have a time getting alot of the drivers to make it fully functional. I didnt find everything but you can get the video and sound working. Hot keys on top of the bevel, tv tuner card and other functions like blu-ray I couldnt get working.

It is possible to install Windows XP on the HDX18 series. Most of the necessary drivers that you will need for Windows XP are available in my driver thread -- see sig.
