my laptop is a HP compac nc4400, and i have a floppy drive, i just need to find the driver. until now still no luck. any kind soul there can help me?

Hmm, you may get into the BIOS Setup menu first (press F1 or F2 or F10 or del on the POST screen), then find SATA mode and change it to 'compatible mode'. Anyway, this might not be the exactly word since it's just depending on manufacturers.

    this is the example; http://www.hentges.net/misc/howtos/pics/pc1_small.JPG

I think this should help Windows CD find the HDD.
