    HELP! how do i completly remove my ATI drivers?

    i wanna do an fresh install, of the latest drivers. ive tried rolling back and it only lets me do it once.


    can anyone help me out? thanks

    One way you can do it is to uninstall from device manager and be certain to check the delete box when it asks to confirm uninstall.

    Here's the thing though; you will want to disconnect from the internet so it doesn't download a driver from Windows's update or install a version older after reboot if you were installing driver on top of driver.

    You you want to repeat this process (uninstall/check delete box/reboot) with internet off until you get to the Microsoft standard VGA driver. Then you can go ahead and install your driver version of choice. Once it is installed, you may reactivate your internet connection.

    If somehow you can't boot up after removing the driver, try to use VGA mode.

    If you don't want Windows to automatically install a driver you can go into safe mode.

    You can use the recovery manager and revert to the original driver shipped with the unit... You then can start reloading whichever ATI driver you want.
