    Hello,

I got a new laptop today with windows vista 32bit ultimate..

I'm having a very annoying problem. After windows loads... About a full minute passes and the whole screen flickers black for a second, then back to normal. When this happens the mouse cursor is also repositioned to the center of the screen.

    Any ideas?

My video card is a geforce go 7200 and im running the latest drivers. I took just about everything out of startup in msconfig. It happens in with aero... or with the basic theme.

    Please help!

    System Specs:

    O/S: Vista Ultimate
    G Card: Nvidia GO 7200
    Ram: 2 Gig
    Hard Drive 120 GIG

    Thanks.

it's the NVIDIA Vista Driver! ... until now, they haven't perfected their vista drivers which annoys me!

if you want, you can test the latest (and beta) nvidia drivers on www.laptopvideo2go.com

Hey Matt, you're not alone in this. It's not your nVidia drivers, it's your Audio drivers.

Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, and uninstall Conextant High Audio driver.

When you uninstall it, it will install the native Vista drivers, which work just fine and don't have the startup issue bug.

Then restart your computer and see if the problem is solved.

    Good luck.
