I did a clean install of Vista a few weeks ago. Now I tried to use the 5-1 card reader by putting in my SD card. I am unable to access the sd card reader and I am getting an error that says "The request could not be performed because of an I/O error". I have installed and reinstalled the ricoh 5-1 driver several times already. On the device manager I also see the SD host adapters and I am seeing that the driver is installed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. tia

FYI I was able to fix this that same day I raised the issue. What I did is disable the device (SD card host) from the device manager panel. Re-installed the latest driver from HP. Rebooted then re-enabled the device. It worked immediately after that.

Now I am thinking of doing the same on the webcam to hopefully fix that issue where you can use it via YM the first time, but when you turn it off, and you try to turn the cam again, you get an error saying "webcam not connected". This is definitely a driver issue.
