So I mess around on the turn table quite a bit DJing and so I have been using Virtual DJ just for messing around normally. I heard that it was finally free to use now so I could get an updated version of it (Had not installed it on this User account and have deleted the old account). So I finally started it up and I get the HID.DLL error message (See attached file). I have tried the solution listed here:
hid.dll error message on reboot - Microsoft Answers
and it did not work. Any other ideas?

Does SFC say all files are okay?

You can try and replace it with the one I have, but I'm not sure if it'll work.

    hid.dll
(no viruses, spam, blahblahblah feel free to check)

In the meantime I'll try to download Virtual DJ and try it out.

system32 folder, take a look at your original screenshot

Also, the free version works fine over here.

Oh. In that case you can boot into some other OS (use a live CD) and replace it there. You can also try unlocker to quit the process that's locking the file, if you don't have some other OS handy.
