I would purchase one right away. I hope it comes to the US. I don't care about the widescreen. Does anyone have any news regarding this laptop's release date in the US?

If it is Asia-exclusive, is there a website where I might be able to order this laptop online?

Kinda weird that they say "widescreen" in the specs, but it is only XGA and not WXGA... Silly HP people.

I really don't think this'll be released in the U.S, I'd be surprised if it were.

:( :( :( Why would you be surprised if it gets released in the US? Because Apple might sue them? This is the only laptop I am dying to get. Do you know of any online retailers who are willing to ship this? Thanks!

If I were to purchase one from Hong Kong or Malaysia, do you I can use the computer if I just add an adapter so that it will fit into US plugs? Or is the voltage too different to do that? Thanks!

They never release the good looking stuff in the US :(

Geez! you guys seem really crazy over the B series. It's a funny world we live in,isn't it? I hanker after the laptops available in the Americas and u guys hanker after those that are readily available to me here. I live in Singapore yeah, the B series are really sweet (expensive though!) The retail situation is still pretty much B&M here, so the prices ain very favourable to u. Well, that said and done, if anyone trusts me enough, i can help them buy and ship it over. But its a big sum, so i wouldn't expect anyone to do that anyway :D

AsusEpoxy, I just might have to rely on you for help :) Ha ha! But what kind of voltage plug does Singapore use? The only worry is that the voltage is too different, even if I use an adapter. What US laptop are you drooling over? The US laptops just don't seem interesting to me at all. You know what they say, "what you can't have always tastes better".

But I really like it for the Mac lookalike and the thinness!

well, i'm a proud owner of a HP ZV6000 from the sweet OD deal a few mths back! My sis lives in CA, so i got her to buy for me. Made her broke in the process.

I shouldn't worry too much abt the voltage stuff, cos laptop adaptors are supposedly to be auto switching yeah? its 220v-240v here in Singapore. Its a 3pin wall plug, but i don't see any prob with that at all cos I've got plenty of 2pin (US type) with me. Pretty much useless to me anyway.
