Hey folks, I'm a newbie, but I was hoping somebody might be able to help me out.

I've had my eye on a new labtop for the last several months, and HP is currently offering the 10% off coupon. I'm eligible for academic pring, but the coupon doesn't seem to be valid under Academic Pricing. I know you used to be able to get them both, but has HP changed the rules, or is there still a way to get the coupon and the academic pricing?

    Thanks much

My friend was also looking at some HP models and he's also under Academic Program they have. He haven't proceed through the check out section yet, but from what you said it wouldn't let you use the 10% code then? That would totally sux, since combine with the 100 dollar coupon they have, this 10% would been pretty good. Is there any particular message or so it said once you try to apply the coupon? Sorry if this wasn't much help in answering your post.

It simply said that the coupon wasn't valid for the item in the cart. And that 100 dollar coupon didn't show up either--it was only a 50 dollar Mail in rebate. So in all reality it may just be cheaper to do it outside of the APP program........the irony

it would not be surprising if HP has made this discount non-stackable, I'm sure HP realized they were losing too much money if people were getting 20% off.
