    Hello,

I have a HP HDX 16t, and every time I try to start NVidia ctrl panel to set up for an external monitor, the entire laptop crashes, and has to be powered off and rebooted.
I'm running Vista 64, and I even tried system recovery to an older date where my ctrl panel was still working, and this did not work either.
Any suggestions? Or to use another app to setup an external display?
I've windows updated everything, and installed the new NVIDIA laptop drivers (2/11/09) to try to fix but to no avail.
    Thanks.

this happened to me (dv5t) too tho it was cuz i was running forceware drivers.
my advice is to go download driver sweeper
    http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/
    and ccleaner
    http://www.ccleaner.com/

go to your device manager and uninstall your driver. When it prompts you to restart say no. Run driver sweeper and ccleaner then restart you computer should automatically install drivers when you boot up and they should be latest official drivers. if not just download and install the newer ones
