Nice find. Too bad it's not valid in Canada (just tried to validate the code on HP.ca... not found in their records). Doh.

This is great. Was almost ready to purchase my dv6500t from Costco or from HP APP. This coupon beats both! I'm buying tonight!

    Thanks!

Knight - Thanks for the tip - I just ordered a 6500 for $954 shipped - T5450 / 2-Gb / 8400 / 120-Gb. I am selling my very-much-liked dv6000t on Tuesday. Its a really nice system but pretty weak in the graphics department with the 7400. The $954 shipped is only $104 more than the dv6000's in the PX - which have lame processor's, GMA950 graphics and only a gig of RAM. They are selling like hotcakes here in Germany though - PX guy told me two days ago that they sold 23 in one day at one of the large exchanges. Thanks again...

Why did you say coupon would stack on top of instant savings?

"Coupon discounts are not combinable with instant rebate(s) or free gift offers. We have applied your coupon, which is the higher of the two discounts."

Oh well, the discount came a week too late for me... could have doubled my savings... On the other hand, mine -- originally scheduled to SHIP Aug. 14, shipped Aug. 9 from Shanghai and left Indianapolis, IN, this afternoon at 1:59 p.m. -- considering it's about a 10-12-hour drive from there to the distribution center just South of Atlanta -- interstate all the way -- and that my LAST shipment too less than three hours to get from THERE to here in Upstate South Carolina, even though FedEx is still saying delivery is expected "Tuesday, Aug. 14, before 10:30 a.m.," I'm BETTING I'll get it Monday...

So far, the last two shipments I got "ground" through FedEx in the past couple weeks (one from HP, one from ZipZoomFly, which came all the way from Sacremento, CA), came ahead of schedule -- HP was one day ahead, and ZipZoomFly was two days ahead.

I saved $135 sales tax by buying on Aug. 3, so if I'd waited until this coupon, it would have been a virtual WASH in savings, for me, and NOW it looks like I'll actually HAVE my dv9500t a day BEFORE its schedule SHIP DATE!

I don't think I can complain about that -- particularly considering Dell is keeping some of its Inspiron 1720 customers waiting up to 2 months!

I saved on sales tax as well! Good ole SC no tax weekend. Hm. Right now its in Alaska...

I don't know if it would have been a huge savings with this 20%. $105 dollars...but I would have opted for more ram, so $70 bucks or so, with tax. Still, can't complain over all. We could be in the Dell consumer shoes. :)
