Has anyone installed a higher resolution LCD panel in an HP 2000 series? From what I've found, the entire line came with any resolution you wanted, as long as it was 1366x768. So finding a whole lid off another one is out.

I was given one the other day with a large dead zone of black pixels. Since it can take up to 8 gig DDR3 RAM and has the possibility of a decent and cheap CPU upgrade, I figure it'd be a candidate for yet another Win10 unit - but only if the horrible low resolution can be upgraded.

I already have a pair of 2gig dimms to up it from 2 to 4 gig. A 2.5Ghz T9300 Socket P Dore2 Duo can be bagged for $15.10 on eBay. It has a 320 gig hard drive so that's plenty.
