HP 25% Bing Cashback - only on 18th October

Because that information is not readily available. Obviously I would not have used the EPP if I had known that it wasn't allowed. I'm sure they could detect that I was using both the EPP and bing cashback. All it would take is a message warning me that they cannot be used together. Are you telling me that a notification system such as this is too technically advanced for HP?

 

It is up to Microsoft and HP to block the bing cashback for purchases that violate terms. And they very often do invalidate the cash back for bing thru HP during the 60 day wait period.

Use a coupon, use EPP or use APP and bing cashback will be invalidated while pending.

Bing terms are available prior to purchase.

If you purchased during the 25% cashback and used EPP or APP or a coupon and are not willing to take the risk your cashback will be invalidated, just send the equipment back to HP for a refund.

 

I really need some advice guys.

I messed up and decided to make a new Bing account since I use a different Live ID/email now than I did 1-2 years ago from my old Bing account. After thinking about it and checking the terms I noticed that it's against the rules.

But, my new account has a different email, address, and phone #. After making the account I changed the first name on the account to a family member and changed the Paypal email to theirs as well.

I also logged into my old account for no apparent reason (really stupid). Do you think they cross IP check accounts and cross check names even if the address and email don't match? The old account hasn't been used in a long time and has no pending cashback attempts, if that makes a difference. I payed with my same PayPal account but I do have a different email on it now.

Am I just being paranoid? Or will my cashback get denied after 60 days?

I made a Bing acct with my Gmail address, but couldn't find a way to enter my bank acct info. Someone in this thread had mentioned that you have to use a Microsoft email address, so I made a new acct with a new @live.com address, and that let me set up my bank acct.

When I made the purchase, I got an email at my Gmail address (weird), so I clicked the link, and it asked me to choose which email address I wanted to use, then added the rebate to my @live account.

Not sure how similar that is to your situation.

But now they aren't honoring it - blah..... I don't want to cancel my order but I might have to

 

Does it matter if you select to get your cashback to a different paypal account than you original payed with?

 

Anyone else had their 25% Bing cash back canceled in the last day or so?

I believe we have 4+ in the Envy 15 thread that had the cash back canceled with no clear reason.

 

Mine was canceled yesterday. Most likely because I used it with the EPP discount. I'm not going to bother arguing with them, I'll just send it back and wait for another decent deal to come up. I think I would rather have the AMD version anyway.
