if you call and complain enough, they will still honor the coupon since it expired so recently. they will not, however, honor a coupon that expired a month ago :)

the 25% coupons are more frequent now - one every couple of months - and the 30% coupons are maybe once every 6 months now.

techbargains and dealigg seem to have the latest and greatest deals on their sites.

Thanks, I think i'll wait for the 25% one then as im not buying it directly

Yeah, techbargains said the 10th :/

The coupons right now are rubbish...

Do they have a summer sale or anything?

I learned that the promo codes expire not only by a date but also by the amount of people who've used it. I learned that the hard way when I wanted to use the last 25% off promo code, luckily I was too late (even though the date said the 30th of June) which afforded me the opportunity to use the 30% (saved $450) off promo code that came right afterward.

Yeah, most coupons are like that I think, its just secret lol.

Lucky you! I'll have to settle for the 25% off one, I suppose that's still good tho, better than nothing :) Just annoying how I was so close...

425 off coupon code NBT5317 for the purchase of a HP Pavilion dv6 Quad Laptop or $425 off coupon code NBQ2985 for the purchase of a Pavilion dv7 Quad Laptop.

If you are in the market for a Quad laptop these should work. I know that the one for he DV6 works because my buddy just used it. It's not 30% like the one I used on the 30th of June, but it is close.

Just tried it and DV6 coupon is no longer valid. Hopefully there will be one soon. I need to order a laptop like now, and if I can get this for < $1000 with 1080p screen, blu-ray, 6770m, and i7-2630qm I'm good.

Wow, I don't think I'll be ordering from HP now. What a jerk sales rep. I just wanted to see if I could still add the coupon and he said he could and started pushing for the sale right away. I kept telling him I wanted a little time to check other options and after a few back and forths he was like "ok, fine then" and hung up.

They are pretty pushy. When I was trying to get one to give me the screen upgrade instead of the free Bluray/RAM, or at least take some money off, some of them did the same thing to me. They started asking for my email, credit card, etc. even though I told them I wanted to explore other options before I actually ordered. I just hung up when I got a sales rep like that.

Well made another call and got a nice young lady. Can get a DV6TQE with i7-2630QM, 1080p, 6GB DDR3, 1GB 6770m, 750GB 5400RPM HDD, 9-cell battery, blu-ray, for ~ $950 shipped with tax. Since you can't reach their reps, she said she'll call back. I might go with it. It's $250 less than the other machine that I plan to get, albeit has GTX 560m CPU and none of the graphics issues, but the battery life sucks (max 3 hrs).

I played around with using this coupon, but am annoyed with how it changes the price on the warranty. The coupon makes the unit cost around 320 dollars cheaper, but because of using a coupon the warranty goes from $119 to $230. $230 is simply outrageous for a warranty. Also, it drastically reduces the value of the coupon.

    Is anyone else noticing this?

I think its because HP wants to reduce the loss or the discount and hoped that NO one would notice it!

The geek week promotion did. Instead of 30% off, EPP and HP academy members could get up to 22% off.

That's rare, although I would probably expect some back to school promotions soon. I qualify for the HPA as well (alma mater), but found usually regular discounts are better.

Let's hope it's not too rare...The price of a dv6qe is already good for me with HPA only, but extra off would of course be nice. I compared some prices, and it actually turns out I save more money on HPA because it gives a discout on the warranty too, which a regular coupon doesn't. Still fingers crossed for another deal soon...

They say stackable but there's no option to add it to your configured system online and if you call they say discounts aren't allowed. At least the couple times I asked.

All 50 dollar stackable coupons, as of today they were all working. For refrence I am buying a hp dv6t quad edition with 1gb 6770 and 1080p screen upgrades, all these coupons have worked so far. I'm sure if your buying another computer your mile may vary. However if you ask on the HP academy website someone will try to help you. Also when I checked the coupons here don't seem to affect the cost of any added warranties.

-MU7608 I think this only works if laptop is over 600 dollars. I tried it with a few machines and anything under 600 doesn't seem to work.

MU7608 Only seems to work on laptops over 600.

-NBEV83296 I thought this was for beats only laptops, but it seems to work on the envys also, not sure about the rules.

-Nb6666 ( Seems to only work with envy 14 regular edition

The free xbox can't be used with any of these computer, but if you don't want the free xbox this may be a better deal.
