    HP 3D 17 Envy 3200 no brigthness control windows 8

    So there is a fix for non-3D model, but for 3D model? Any fix on this?

    Actually it is a problem when upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 8... if you do a clean install fresh windows 8 without doing an upgrade and then install all the windows 8 drivers you will have no issues at all including brightness working perfectly.

    that wasnt the case with me. my win7 install died on me i fresh installed win8 and now its effed up

    No, it does not fix the issue. I am guessing it fix it for those who use Switchable graphic... but not in the 3D model.

    Shrike-- are you sure you have a 3D model... not according to your spec..

    Excellent.. jrmtz85. I try the new 13.1 driver and it is working .. great.. now just hopefully HP release new bios for switchable graphics... for Widi alternative.. at least I could use airplay with apple TV, but for power saving there is no alternative.
