The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP 430 G3 UEFI or BIOS

    IS it better to install Windows using UEFI or BIOS on this machine? What have other users done.

    If you want to install Win8.1 or Win10, then UEFI is the only way to go. Lots of benefits like security, storage space barrier, minor speed gain etc.)

    If you want to install Win7, then really doesn't matter too much, I'd still choose UEFI with CSM.
