    Hi folks,

I'm looking to get a decent but cheap laptop, and I've been looking at the HP 530 from their business line. I've used a DV6000 and it's a fantastic machine, so I'm really wanting to get an HP.

Does anyone have any experience with the 530?

With 1gb RAM it comes to £330 ($660 US) and looks like a pretty decent machine.

    More info from HP.

I havent heard much about this series but do keep in mind that with the std 4 cell 32whr battery you are going to get poor battery life. It should still be a good notebook specs wise if battery life isnt a concern. Avoid the Celerons if possible and look into getting more RAM even for Vista Basic.
