I searched for this problem, and couldnt seem to find an answer. The issue is, Im running Vista 32 on a 6710b and I want to install the latest X3100 driver from the Intel site, but it tells me the driver is not made for my laptop and to get the driver from the manufacture of the laptop. Ive seen this come up with a google search, but in every instance, there is no solution. Is there a way to install the latest drivers from Intel, or do I have to wait for HP to make them available on their site? Thanks!

    Hello,

Are you downloading and installing the Intel GMA driver for the Intel 965 Express Chipset?:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/fil...ndows+Vista*+32&lang=eng&strOSs=164&submit=Go!

The previous download link is the correct graphics driver for your HP 6710b Notebook. If that is the one you are trying to install (with no success), then just download and install the latest driver from HP at the following page:

    Hello,

Try right clicking the installation file and running as administrator.

If that doesn't work, I would just use the latest graphics driver provided by HP. In some cases, it's better to use drivers provided by the OEM (as opposed to 'generic' drivers provided by the device manufacturer) because they are sometimes tailored to work better with your notebook.

The biggest issue is that HP is not issuing drivers that support full 3D acceleration.
