    Hey all.

I have a HP 6735s laptop. I want to install linux [dual-boot with Windows]. The problem is I also want a backup of the vista OS but this laptop doesn't allow creation of recovery DVDs instead you have to recover by using the recovery image on the hard drive at boot [You know the F11 job'y]

If I'm honest I'd like a clean install of Vista without the bloatware that is on the recovery image. This means buying a Vista DVD which I can't afford at the moment and I really don't fancy getting it via 'other methods'...

I could also however clone the current install to DVD but I've rather start with a fresh install as just uninstalling never really removes all files.

    What is the best option?

    Cheers :)
